Biography
Jaydn Bruce is a seventeen-year-old author and poet from Accra, Ghana. He has published two books and has a third ready for release — making him one of the youngest independently published authors working in African YA fiction today.
His debut, The Archives of My Shadow (2025), is a poetry collection of sixty poems across five emotional movements, exploring identity, grief, love, and the experience of growing up in Accra. His second book, Chikomborero: The Boy the Forest Chose (2026), opens the Chikomborero Chronicles — a YA fantasy series rooted in African wildlife, oral tradition, and environmental justice.
The third book, The Girl the Stream Found (2026), continues the Chronicles through Rudo, Chikomborero’s younger sister, who emerges as the series’ record-keeper and moral compass.
Jaydn writes from Accra and publishes under his own name. His work is available worldwide through Amazon KDP and directly through jaydnbruce.com, where Ghanaian readers can purchase via mobile money.
